Cozy Cabin Retreat to Decompress, Ground, and Remember Who You Are
Do this if…
-
Your nervous system feels like a "live wire"—constantly humming, buzzing, or on edge.
-
You’ve been living in "survival mode" and have forgotten what it feels like to be truly settled.
-
You are craving the smell of old wood, the weight of a thick blanket, and the permission to just be, surrounded by people who will love you for who you are.
-
You want to move from "homeless" anxiety back into the safety of being "at home" in your own skin and in God’s presence.
Your Facilitator
Hi! I'm Krista!
I blend neuroscience, somatic practices, and faith to help people regulate their nervous system and return to peace. As a yoga and sound healing certified guide, I facilitate stillness, creating spaces where the body calms, the mind clears, and the spirit reconnects.

Our Lodging
Located just an hour and fifteen minutes east of Downtown Dallas, this retreat is the perfect distance where the city hum fades and the rhythm of the land takes over. It is close enough for a quick escape, yet far enough to feel like a different world—one where the horizon widens and the air moves a little slower.
-
Grab the provided kayaks and head out onto the private 5-acre lake or take time hiking along the trails.
-
Porches are designed as "Transition Spaces." Sip your morning coffee while overlooking the ponds and woods, allowing your eyes to rest on the horizon—a practice that tells your brain it is safe to relax.
-
Soak in the private hot tub under the stars. The heat and buoyancy provide "Hydro-therapy," releasing physical tension from your muscles and preparing your body for a deep, restorative sleep.
-
Enjoy the rustic charm throughout the whole cabin.
-
Both private and shared bedroom options available.

Our Weekend Story
This retreat is an invitation to come home spiritually and neurologically.
Science tells us that when the nervous system feels safe, the brain can soften, the body can exhale, and healing becomes possible. Faith tells us the same story in a different language: that peace is not something we chase, but something we receive when we dwell, abide, and rest.
Inside the quiet of a rustic, cozy cabin, we create the conditions for both. Through intentional practices that calm the nervous system and anchor the heart, we explore how faith and neuroscience meet in the act of making a home within ourselves. As the brain shifts out of survival mode and into rest, the soul finds space to listen, trust, and be at ease.
This is a retreat designed for slowing down—where crackling wood, soft light, and sacred stillness remind your body and spirit that you are safe here. When the nervous system settles, the heart opens. And in that place, peace becomes something you can finally inhabit.
The Weekend Vibes

A Day at The Haven Project
You wake up with soft light, quiet air, no urgency in your body.
The morning begins slowly — warm drinks, bare feet on cool ground, space to breathe before the world asks anything of you. Your nervous system settles before your mind ever tries to lead. You gather with other women in a calm, sunlit space. Scripture is shared and you notice something different: when your body feels safe, God’s Word lands deeper.
The day moves gently between teaching, rest, reflection, and nourishing meals. You learn how peace isn’t just spiritual — it’s neurological. How God designed your body to respond to stillness, rhythm, and grace. There is laughter. There is quiet. There is no pressure to perform or explain yourself.
By evening, your shoulders are lower. Your breath is slower and you feel present. You fall asleep knowing something has shifted because you finally slowed enough to receive.
